In 1941, Seth Govardhandas, Seth Mathuradas' son, made the bold decision to move from trading to manufacturing. Binani Metal Works was founded in Howrah, followed by Binani Zinc.

Following the restructuring of the Braj Binani Group, between 1996 and 2004, Binani Industries Limited (BIL) was founded to serve as the holding company for Binani Cement Limited, Binani Zinc Limited, Goa Glass Fibre Limited and BT Composites Limited.

About CPI Binani, Inc.

The Braj Binani Group signed a merger agreement with USA based Composite Products, Inc. (CPI) following its long-term strategy to access state-of-the-art technology and products for its glass fibre and composites business. The new company was named CPI Binani, Inc. (CPIBI).

Over the last 20 years, CPI has built a solid reputation in manufacturing and licensing compression molded composite parts that are used by a variety of companies in automotive, recreational and other custom-designed and demanding industrial applications. CPI has to its credit and advantage several patented inventions in its name.

CPI Binani, Inc. will be perfectly poised to accelerate the use and application of in-line compounding and molding of thermoplastics in India and around the world.
